Stage IIIB

Stage IV: Most advanced stage of lung cancer. This is when the cancer has spread to both lungs, to fluid in the area around the lungs, or to another part of the body, such as the liver or other organs.

STAGES OF SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER

Limited Stage: In this stage, cancer is found on one side of the chest, involving just one part of the lung and nearby lymph nodes.
Extensive stage: In this stage, cancer has spread to other regions of the chest or other parts of the body.

As we know, lung cancer is classified into stages as per its spread. This aids the doctors to settle on most apt treatments. The treatments also depend on the kind of cancer, age, health position and supplementary personal characteristics. As there is typically no single stage 3 lung cancer treatment in Delhi for cancer, patients often get an amalgamation of therapies and palliative care. More than one category of therapy might be recommended. Although the diagnostic methods provided imperative info, removing cancer cells and observing at them under a microscope is the only out-and-out way to identify lung cancer. This process is called a biopsy. If the biopsy approves lung cancer, a pathologist will decide whether it is non-small cell or small cell.

Stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most cutting-edge form of the disease. In stage IV, the cancer has metastasized or spread beyond the lungs into other regions of the body. The five-year survival rate for those detected with stage IV lung cancer is less than 10%. Common options of treatment for lung cancer stage 4 in Delhi include chemotherapy as it is often the suggested course of treatment. Immunotherapy might also be suggested by Dr. Pramoj Jindal as a secondary methodology.
